Our 200 Year Plan
Rooted in the West Highlands in the village of Plockton, Krisp Camp Ltd is building an ambitious, community-first destination where nature, culture, and good food come together. We’re creators at heart—growing a place to be shared—so people from near and far can connect with this landscape, with each other, and with the creativity it inspires.
The Property
Our evolving 37-acre visitor garden circles a 1.8 km peninsula walk with sweeping coastal views. It’s open for everyone to explore today, and we’re steadily shaping it into one of the West Highlands’ most welcoming attractions. This is a living, working landscape: a developing amphitheatre for outdoor performance, fruit orchards and market gardens, suspended walkways through trees and along cliff edges, and wild spaces for bees, butterflies, orchids, and birds. We care for habitats and biodiversity, with partnerships including the Butterfly Conservation Trust and growing links with wildflower and bird watching groups.

Local Produce
Krisp Camp is also about craft and sustenance. We’re restoring a community shop-restaurant to champion Scottish produce—fresh breads and bakes, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners—alongside a larder of the best from across the Highlands. We’re building a smokehouse to bring our own smoked salmon to market, and developing a commercial and community composting project to nourish the land and reduce waste across the area. From sea to soil, our approach is circular, practical, and rooted in care.

Future Vision
This is just the beginning. Over the coming seasons, expect accessible, lit winter walks, guided tours from the restaurant to the garden and back for a hearty meal, workshops and community projects, and the first of our music and arts festivals. We aim to harvest our first fruits and press our first cider within two years, and we’re exploring future food outlets in Inverness, Glasgow, and Edinburgh to showcase the West Highlands’ best. We’ll keep the gates open as much as weather and terrain allow—because this place is for people. If you share our love for land, food, art, and community, come walk the peninsula, watch the garden grow, and help us shape a 200-year vision—together.
